burnham
Pre-school
Burnham Pre-School was established by a group of parents in 1965. It moved into its present premises, the Burnham-on-Crouch Village Hall in 1966.
We are active members of the Pre-School Learning Alliance and are registered with Ofsted and the Education Department of Essex County Council. Ofsted inspects our provision of education for all children. Copies of the latest reports are available on request or visit www.ofsted.gov.uk.
We have the use of two rooms which each cater for specific age groups and are managed by experienced and trained supervisors. Children also have the opportunity to play in our enclosed outside play area throughout the year.
Older children are well prepared for the transition to school. We also have the advantage of a using a third hall for small group activities to prepare the children for the routines of school life.
Fees are payable half-termly or termly in advance. Arrangements can be made at times for fees to be paid weekly. Fees continue to be payable if a child is absent at any time. In cases of prolonged absence, parents should consult with the Practise Manager about consideration by the committee of reduced fees. Each child's attendance at the group is conditional upon continued payment of any necessary fees an\or eligibility of funding from the Early Development Plan.
